The information here is guidance, not advice

We work hard to be accurate and we date the things that go stale. Road status and closures are checked against road.is, weather and aurora forecasts against vedur.is, and highland F-road opening dates against the road authority rather than against last year’s dates, because they move by weeks. Prices are in krona with the month they were checked. Even so, prices, timetables and opening hours change without notice, and the authoritative source is always the operator or the authority concerned. Check anything a trip depends on against its official source before you rely on it. We are not liable for a decision made solely on the basis of a page here.

No professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, immigration, medical, insurance or financial advice. Icelandic road, F-road and weather closures change hourly, and a route described here as drivable can be closed or lethal the same afternoon. Check road.is and the current forecast before you set out.

Third-party links and purchases

Some links lead to third parties, and some of those earn us a commission. Any purchase is a contract between you and that seller under their terms. Refunds, delivery, service quality and disputes are theirs to resolve, and we have no ability to intervene in them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Seychelles, and any dispute arising from them falls to the courts of Seychelles. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country.
